FAQs – Reptile Vet Care

It is very helpful to bring photos of your enclosure and a record of your current temperatures (hot spot and cool end) and UV bulb age. If your pet has passed a stool recently, bringing a fresh sample in a clean container is also useful.

Reptiles can crash quickly if they get too cold. Use an insulated carrier or a polystyrene box. You can include a heat pack or a bottle of warm water—just ensure it is wrapped in a towel so your reptile cannot make direct contact and suffer a burn.

Lethargy in reptiles is often a sign of a serious underlying issue, such as infection or impaction. We recommend booking a consultation as soon as you notice a change in behavior or appetite.

Exotic and reptile consultations start from £58. We will always provide a clear estimate before proceeding with any diagnostic tests or surgical treatments.
